Is It For Me?

Do you enjoy volunteering?
Is high academic achievement
important to you?
Do you enjoy meeting new people?
Do you want to use your time at college to learn not only in the classroom, but also to grow as a person with new life skills that will help you beyond your years in school?
Do you enjoy participating in athletics?
Do you enjoy performing on stage
in dance or theater?
Do you like to organize and run events?
Do you like to be involved in a wide
variety of activities?

If you can answer yes to just one of the questions above, then you can find a home in a sorority.

Every campus and every chapter is different, but sororities participate in all kinds of things from intramural activities, to social events, to musical performances, and much more! On top of that, they host events to raise money for local charities and volunteer at a wide variety of local organizations. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in leadership roles, and if you do, you'll basically be an officer on the board of a small corporation.

We're not saying that sorority life is right for everyone, everywhere. To see if it's a fit for you, try going through recruitment. You'll meet lots of new people -- and potential sorority sisters.

What's It Like?

"It’s a group of girls who both have similar values and couldn’t be more different at the same time. The thing I love about is that we are all so involved in whatever it is that we are passionate about. Whether it is student council, different causes, certain academic areas, the social aspect or any other areas that one could be very passionate about. You have a group of women there to support and love you, cheering you on at anything you do as well as to be there to tell you if something maybe wasn’t such a great idea or to be your shoulder to cry on or to laugh with you no matter what it is about."
