Did
you ever play that game with your family at Thanksgiving? You know, the
one where everyone goes around the table and says what they're thankful
for? In keeping with the spirit of the holiday, we asked women why
they're thankful for their sorority and their sisters. Here's what they
said:
"My
sorority gives me a family away from home. I go to school seven hours
away from my home, and without my sisters I wouldn't have the support
system that I do."- Jessica, Northern Michigan University
"My
sisters are the most diverse group of women I've ever met. They all
come from different backgrounds but are so accepting and fun to be
around."- Norah, Drake University
"There's
always someone I can call if I have a crisis or need to vent. If my
sisters commit to helping me, I know they'll be there."- Carly, West Chester University
"I
love how much being in a sorority has added to my college experience.
It's a good feeling to know that I'm part of something bigger."- Leanne, California State University, Sacramento
"Even
when we haven't seen each other for a while, we all just click as soon
as we're back together. It's like we were never apart."- Heather, Cumberland University
"Being
in a sorority has given me many opportunities to expand my growth in
areas such as leadership, networking and time management, and it has
blessed me with many wonderful sisters!"- Stephanie, Carroll University
These
women show that sorority life truly has given them a lot to be thankful
for. A sorority can add friends, fun and family to a college
experience. What are you thankful for this holiday season?
